About the Artist

Nick Landrum’s career as an artist has moved in many directions. I started as a photographer in 1973 and the art form morphed into the “presentation” of photography where I focused on painting mats, carving, and making beautiful frames to present my photos as unique artworks. I was successful in this form for 35 years and my work was displayed and purchased worldwide.

Around 2003, I started feeling “boxed in” by the reality that the camera required. I started painting with acrylics and using abstract textures to express emotions. I have displayed and sold works in the San Francisco Bay area before moving to Denver in 2011. I have an established body of acrylic works as well as a newer body of work using alcohol inks on glass and metal. I’ve shown work at the Core Gallery and Edge Gallery in Denver and produced many commissions.
